JUNE ACTIVITY HIGHLIGHT
UTS WELCOMES OVER 600 NEW FOUNDATION STUDENTS THIS JUNE
25 JUNE 2025
The University of Technology Sarawak (UTS) officially welcomed 611 new foundation students during a comprehensive orientation programme held at Tun Abdul Taib Mahmud Chancellor Hall. Designed to mark the beginning of their academic journey, the programme familiarised students with the university’s environment, academic expectations, and available support services – all essential for a smooth transitions into university life.
A key higlight of the programme wan an introductory breifing delivered by Mr Alistair, a representative from the Academic Resource Centre (ARC). His sessions outlined the extensive range of services offered by ARC, aiming to empower students to make full use of these resources throughout their foundation year and beyond.
ARC Tours & visits
In June, the ARC hosted visitors from several organizations, including North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power (NCWU), SJK(C) Sang Ming, Betong Community College, SMK St Anthony Sarikei and Sibu Vocational College.
